Families in Need (FIND) Ipswich offers a lifeline to people in Ipswich and the surrounding areas who are experiencing poverty and despair – providing food and other household items for 30 years.
Last year, FIND moved to a new food bank headquarters next to Gainsborough Sports Centre which enabled it to meet the growing needs of the community.
Now its volunteers are working with Ipswich Borough Council to reach out to vulnerable people who are struggling to find the basic necessities during the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Hundreds of food packs are being filled and delivered every week to those most in need. Recipients are referred to FIND through other agencies.
FIND founder Maureen Reynel said: “We need donations to help us continue with our vital work. Even if you cannot help FIND directly you can donate to our cause. Your generosity is much appreciated.”
